What ChartFlow is

ChartFlow is a free, in-browser maker for animated chart videos — the kind YouTubers drop into an explainer, a Short, or a channel intro. Paste numbers or import a CSV, pick one of nine chart types, style it, animate it, and export a video file. There is no account and no upload step: your data stays in your own browser and the render runs on your own machine.

How ChartFlow works

  1. Pick a chart type — vertical bar, horizontal bar, bar chart race, line, area, pie/donut, scatter, big-number KPI counter, or progress bar.
  2. Put your numbers in using the spreadsheet-style table, or import a CSV and edit it in place.
  3. Style it with a curated palette, a gradient, or a one-click theme preset, and choose 16:9, 9:16 Shorts, or 1:1.
  4. Animate and check with an animation preset, an easing curve, and a frame-accurate scrubber.
  5. Export as MP4, WebM, GIF, or PNG — encoded in the browser, with a transparent background if you want to lay the chart over footage.

Two things people use it for

Bar chart races

One row per contestant, one column per time period, and the bars overtake each other as the years tick by. Labels, values, and ranking all move with the data.

Overlays on footage

Set the background to transparent and export WebM or PNG. The chart drops onto your timeline in any editor with nothing to key out.

How do I make a bar chart race video?

In ChartFlow, put one row per contestant and one column per time period in the data table (or import a CSV in that shape), pick the Bar chart race type, choose a palette and an animation preset, then export MP4, WebM or GIF. The whole render happens in your browser.

Can I export a chart with a transparent background?

Yes. Set the background to transparent and export WebM or a PNG frame, and the chart drops straight onto your video footage in any editor with no matte to key out.

Is ChartFlow free, and does my data get uploaded?

ChartFlow is free with no account and no sign-up. Your data is typed into your own browser, rendered by your own machine and saved in your browser's local storage — nothing is uploaded to a server. Exports carry a small “Made with sadapanna.com/chartflow” watermark.

Does ChartFlow work for YouTube Shorts?

Yes — switch the frame preset to 9:16 for Shorts, or 1:1 for square posts, and the chart re-lays out for the new aspect ratio before you export.
